BFRA Members Clean Up at Run Following February Storm

Following the February storm, members John Youngblut, Ryan Bishop, and Sean Polin began clean up at the Broad Run BFRA location.

The plugged culvert coming off the road, and running under the BFRA property towards the run, has caused significant erosion of the left hand side of the boat ramp. This erosion is interfering with members ability to back their trailers into parking positions.

They also brought in 3 tons of stone to fill the eroded area. John, Ryan and Sean also unblocked the input side of the culvert with some success. A work order has been submitted to VDOT to clear the pipe.

More work is needed on this area. BFRA relies on volunteers to help complete repairs and maintenance.
